Founded in Amsterdam in 1575, Bols is the world's oldest distilled spirit brand.
I had the great pleasure to collaborate with Staat agency on the creation of a series of illustrations
for the display windows.
The House of Bols museum showcase the history of Lucas Bols and highlighting their rich heritage, expertise and craft in the field of spirits elaboration. The four windows on the façade of the headquarter are a first glimpse of what a visitor can discover inside of the House of Bols.Inspired by old diorama devices used to give small-scale replica of a scene like on a small theater background, the 4 windows are a series of three-dimensional installations. The composition of the illustrations are based on 8-10 successive solid layers
which gives depth to the scenes.

This first one depict the history of the founder Lucas Bols, during the age of the great discoveries.
This second one is about the art and craft of distillery, four centuries of determine work and ongoing improvement.
The third one is about the masters of the art of cocktail making.
And the fifth is about Genever, the original spirit of Amsterdam.
